The Emporio is located on the Costera Alemán, right at the Diana traffic circle. The other side of the hotel enjoys a long beach front. This puts it about 10 minutes from the convention center and a half hour from the airport, in the "Golden Zone" of Acapulco. The architecture is modern and sleek. Meeting space is nearby the entrance to one side, and the reception area is to the other. The hotel offers Acapulco’s largest pool, with lots of gardens around it, and the beautiful beach of Acapulco Bay. Lots of activities are provided for children as well as adults. It was built in 1962 and renovated in 2006. The building has 24 floors.

Services & Amenities: 

Emporio Acapulco provides guests with full concierge services, a business center, wireless Internet in the rooms and public areas of the hotel, babysitting services, medical services on call 24/7, parking for free, and local transportation services. On the main level guests will find a boutique, a gift shop and a place to buy tobacco and sundries, like sunscreen. Same day laundry and dry-cleaning is offered. Security for guests is provided around the clock. (Some services involve an additional charge).

The Emporio Privilege Club is a loyalty program that offers repeat customers special service and attention as well as upgrades rooms and amenities, such as a continental breakfast in the club’s facilities, which also provides a quiet reading area and a marvelous view of the sea.. A personal concierge is assigned to Privilege Club members.

Rooms: 

The hotel has 419 room, all of them air conditioned and with a view of Acapulco Bay from the private balcony. Three categories of suite are also available. Each room has an electronic safe, touchtone phone with voice mail, wireless Internet access, a coffee maker and minibar, and Cable TV with DVD player.

Dining & Drinks: 

The Condimento restaurant is an informal restaurant, serving both Mexican dishes and international fare, both with table service and buffet style. It is open for lunch and dinner.

The Arka Martini & Tapas Bar is the place to go for elegant cocktails and tapas daily. At the Sunset Lounge guests can enjoy a unique fusion of Thai cuisine with Mexican flavors.

La Isla, Bar & Grill is by the pool, offering a full line of beer, wine and mixed drinks, as well as light lunches and snacks, all in a relaxed, Acapulqueño atmosphere.

In the hotel building itself, a guest can enjoy two other offerings (independent businesses). One is Texas Ribs, a classic western steak house, and the other is Zydeco, an upscale dance club built around a mardi gras theme.

Activities: 

There is always a lot to do in Acapulco, both on the hotel premises and off. The staff organizes many activities within the hotel, and the concierge can help with all the details of an adventure elsewhere in Acapulco. On the beach, join in beach volleyball, aerobics and soccer. Water skiing, jet-skis, windsurfers, snorkeling, scuba-diving and cruising the bay are all available options. Golf is nearby, as is the water fun of “Shotover.” Enjoy the CiCi Water Park (especially for the kids who want to swim with dolphins), and the cliff divers from La Quebrada. Within the hotel, trained staff run a supervised children's program called Piccolo Mondo. It is centered around the pool and the beach, and also includes movies and games indoors.

Health & Beauty: 

The Oriental Spa offers massages, body treatments and facials for rest, rejuvenation and relaxation. Hydrotherapies (steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi) are offered as well. To enjoy the spa, guests are requested to make reservations in advance.

The Emporio operates a full gym facility, with all the equipment required to maintain one’s cardiovascular and weight training.

Shopping: 

The Emporio is right across the street from the Galerías Diana shopping mall and within a short walk to two others, Gran Plaza and Casas Bahía. In addition, numerous other shops, including open markets for souvenirs and native art, are right at hand.

Meetings & Conventions: 

. Meetings, congresses, conventions and special events are easily handled at the Emporio. The hotel is centrally located on the bay for business gatherings, and the special function space is conveniently accessible from the main lobby area. More than a dozen meeting rooms and function spaces are available in different configurations and sizes, including space in the Sunset Lounge or at beach side for outdoor receptions and buffets. As many as 800 persons can be accommodated. The catering staff is fully capable of supporting the food and beverage requirements of any group. The planning staff is prepared to take care of all aspects of the meetings, including audio-visual equipment, decorations, entertainment, hostesses, interpreting, transportation and tours. Coordination with the hotel lodging staff helps to organize accommodations for attendees. The Emporio is not only a favorite location for business meetings, but it is also preferred for Weddings, theme parties and quinceañera celebrations.

Pools: 

The hotel has the largest swimming pool in the bay and offers direct access to the sea. Two other pools are provided, one mainly for kids to enjoy, and the other exclusive to adults.
