Trailer and RV park in Acapulco, MExico are all pretty cheap, somewhere between $10 and $15 per person per night.

I have to say the the idea of tooling around in a big RV in Mexico sounds fun, but let me forewarn you, there are some drawbacks. First, roads in Acapulco can be tight, it's hard enough wheeling around my little sports car. I couldn't imagine hitting town in a huge aircraft carrier sized RV on there streets. I guess it's possible because the big busses do it everyday, but I'd be wary. The biggest problem, however, would be if it breaks down on you. Though mechanics are cheap here and I'm sure you could find someone to do the job, parts are had to come by and even if you can manage to translate the parts you need into English, it might take them weeks to arrive.

Here's a tip, buy a Chilton Manual or some other guide with PICTURES OF ALL of the parts . If you run into trouble, have the mechanic circle the parts you need and scan it and email it of fax it to your local repair shop for the parts. Translating something like outter tierod female assembly bracket bushing (if such a thing exists)? Forget about it.

If you really want to tool around on the road, VW bus is the best way to go. You can get it repaired anywhere and hey, look cool while tooling down the road in it. Plus they're so cheap that if they die on you, no biggie. Bus it.
