TabaresBy far the most famous and rowdiest strip club in Acapulco. It's so famous around town that people often say Tabares when they really means strip clubs in general sort of the way we say tuperware when we mean air-tight plastic food container.
Imagine entering and having a midget greet you and give you a free shot. The waiters (and there are a lot of them) are on roller skates and wear minor's hats with light on them. Tabares isn't that big inside. It's got a smallish center stage, TVs blasting adult moives, and showers where the girls can was off after crawling around on the stage or after servicing a guy, while the clients oggle them, or even participate in giving them a shower. Tabares has rooms on-site where you can take the girls back for a shag. The price depends on the girl and, I guess the number of other guys in the club who might want her as well. Cost? About $80 to $200 on-site and more for all night in one’s hotel.
When I first saw Tabares in 2000 and then again in 2003, I was stunned by the, well, totally hot stripers. They all looked like Latina models and were endowed beyond belief. This night, the quality wasn't quite as good, but it's still full of young, thin, large-breasted beauties as always. At this point I should say that it's hard to say which is the "best club," which usually means one thing to a guy, the hottest women. The reason is not only that beautify is in the eye of the beholder, but also the turn over rate in strip clubs is very high. The girls working there today will be replaced by a new set in 6 months.
In the case of Tababes I can say that this is one of the top clubs in Acapulco, and certainly the wildest. The Mexican government rates its top hotels as Grand Tourism. I'd rate Tabares Grand Hedonism for sure.
Anyway, there I was in Tabares having some light banter with one of the girls and drinking my cerveza. Important note, make sure you order all beer "para abrir" meaning "to open" which means that they bring it to you closed and open it in front of you. Strip clubs are notorious around the world for spiking drinks to get you to loosen your wallet and I'm assuming Acapulco would be no different though no bad experiences to report yet.
Most Mexican strip clubs are pretty laid back and don't pressure you hard to separate you from your cash, but you get a bit of the usual, want to buy a dance (a good deal actually, $20 U.S. where you can do everything but...). I got involved in a profound conversation with a girl about who was "from Monterrey" (an expression which mean "to be cheap" as in a tightwad). Interesting, because I guess she would know.
I also use these moments to see if they've had any famous or important clients, and these girls can't keep any secrets let me tell you (but I don't want to get thrown out of Mexico so I can't say, sorry). Before I knew it I had drunk three beers (which run about $7 US each) and it was already after 11:30.

beware of tabares scams, 2008-01-07

I made a deal with a stripper for an hour of sex for 200$ after 20 minutes she started complaining that I am too big and the sex is hurting her, me being a gentleman stoped, but I went to see the manager because tabares has a satisfaction or money back gaurantee. He spoke to the girl who admited telling me I could fuck her for an hour, so he told her to go back upstairs and stay there with me as long as it would take for me to finish. she refused so he told her to give me back my 200$ she again refused so he fired her. he then asked what I felt was fair for the club to give me back I said 150$ he offered 100$ I accepted, he told me that he was coming back with the money and some papers to sign for his boss saying I got the money. after about ten minutes and 5 free shots from the midget greeter. he came back with 50$ no paperwork and told me I could walk out with the money or be carried out without it, I took the money however I strongly recomend you go to another strip club.
the night had a happy ending for me because I went to quinta rebeccas and for 150$ finished twice with a hooker. |
