Palladium Acapulco
Palladium is without a doubt the most famous club in Acapulco. This is the place if you like your discos big, loud, and lively. Perched on a mountainside in Las Brisas, Palladium has an intense view of the Golden Zone and Acapulco Bay which is nothing short of spectacular at night. It has a big dance floor and several areas where you can lounge as well as numerous circlular bars that can be approached from all sides.
Palladium is a drink till you drown club where you pay a cover to get in (men are always charged more than the ladies), then it's open bar until about 4am. By open bar, we don't mean that old US trick of serving you cheap beer in plastic cups, we mean drinks.. screwdrivers, tequila shots, you name it. This is the club for the young and beautiful and also the wealthy and sometimes the snobby but it doesn't hold a candle to Baby'O on this last point Real Acapulco's favorite part is the dancing silver Indian dude "Azteca" lip syncing "I can give you sex, I can give you drugs, and I can give you HOUSE!" Later in the evening, the view of the city is interrupted by an intense shower of sparks cascading down the window outside.
The only drawbacks are that they have a rope outside and often make people wait to get in (while some people show up and the rope is lifted and they enter immediately, others have to wait like 30 minutes). The gardian at the gate is Jerry or "Yeh-Ree" as it's pronounced by the people constantly calling out his name in the hopes of getting in as he walks around looking as if he's totally immersed in some ponderously important mental exercise while pretending not to notice.
Despite the irritating doorman scene, once inside it's off the hook. If you go out in Acapulco, Palladium shouldn't be missed.
If you're hoping to get in during Spring Break or other peak times, or just want a table, reservations are highly recommended.

This club should be shut down for the mistreatment of local bouncers. They literally brutally beat a 19 year old Canadian boy to death for dancing with one of the locals and they covered the story by saying it was a hit & run!!! BAN IT! |

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CLUB THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I AM FROM THE U.S. AND NOTHING COMPARES WITH IT. SOUTHBEACH HAS GOOD CLUBS, BUT THEY CAN'T TOUCH THIS ONE. IT WAS AWESOME!!! GREAT MUSIC, HOT WOMEN, GREAT DRINKS, GREAT DANCING!!!! IF YOU'RE EVER THERE, YOU MUST GO!!! |
