Leon RojoLeon Rojo (the Red Lion) is also a step down from the big three at first glance. At second glance, it's two big steps down. The club has a good layout that's interesting and a bit different. The Red Lion theme works for me and the ceiling is decorated with astral symbols like the moon and the stars.
There was one guy up there dancing who was just awful. I mean ok there are lots of us that don't know how to dance, but we know it. The thing about this guy is that he thought he could dance. He'd do like this John Travolta move as if to clear the floor and then lay this seriously bad move on everybody and then look up like a gymnast who just pulled off a perfect 10 dismount on the pommel horse.
The bad part about it was there are virtually no girls working there. Saturday night and maybe two or three girls. Not good for a strip club. No cover charge, but not much to see inside. Beers are $4.50 USD.
I hear that it has a special license to open early so that it can serve the cruise ship tourists who dock nearby. I guess if you have to be back on board at 10:00pm, this gives you little choice. For everyone else, just keep walking.
