Senor Frogs is a chain of rowdy and very fun restaurant bars located all over Mexico with a few scattered locations in the Caribbean and even one in the U.S. Whether it’s a restaurant or a bar, this a good place to get stumbling drunk with a group of amigos in a friendly environment. Senor Frogs Acapulco has a great view, but it’s quite a bit smaller than its counterpart in Mazatlan and a bit harder to get to located on the pedestrian hostile Carretera Escenica (read: try to walk here an get run over). It’s also a bit harder to mingle here due to the layout. That said, it has a spectacular view that is without compare (outside of Acapulco that is) and despite its small size it can get very rowdy complete with dancing on the tables.
Drink are reasonably priced and so is the food and you can probably have a good time here with food and drinks for less than $50.
I usually start out with some tequila shots before slowing down with a Michelada Cubana which is a Michelada (beer with lime juice served in a salted glass) with a spicy mixture of Worcestershire, Maggi Sauce and Tabasco or Valentina thrown in to give it some kick a la Mexicana.
Restaurant closes at about 1:00am. Bar, much, much later.
A classic Mexican party spot, but make sure you pick a weekend as that weekdays are sort of dead.
