| Playa Revolcadero Acapulco Diamante |
Revolcadero Beach
Revolcadero Beach, it's a nice big sandy beach on the open ocean located out by Hotel Princess, one of Acapulco's most luxurious hotels which actually looks like a big Mayan temple. On Sundays it fills with Acapulco's chic crowd trying to tan away their hangovers from the night before. Lots of beautiful bodies running about or chilling under the canopies. You don't see a lot of common folk out here unless they're bring you your drinks. This is also my favorite beach in Acapulco to go to when I want to go swimming. It has good sized waves which I like, but not so big as to be dangerous the insane break at Pie de la Cuesta. Revolcadero Beach doesn't have too much of an undertow either like much of the Golden Zone which sort of sucks you right out. It's not a bad place to flirt either. The one thing it doesn't have is a view of the mountains like you get elsewhere in the city. The big drawback is that it's a good 30 minutes from the city (without traffic). To get there you can take a taxi, but might be better off with a car. Just head toward Puerto Marques, but keep straight until you arrive at the Hotel Princess. If you drive, it's no trouble to park in the complex - it huge, about 500 acres so the 're plenty of places to park though you may have to drop some pesos to have someone "watch" your car.
