| Playa Puerto Marques Acapulco |
Puerto Marques Beach

Playa Puerto Marques - I count it as one of my favorite places in Acapulco. A
relatively small beach located on the calm waters of the lush green cove that
is Puerto Marques. This is a fun place to come to swim as the water is calm as
can be and it's full of locals doing their thing. It also has great seafood restaurants
and is off the beaten track enough where you get surprisingly few tourists. The
beach is surrounded by a small village of real costeƱos where there are a few
shops and great, but rustic seafood restaurants. It's poor, but quaint. The tide
comes in fast as the day turns to night and by about 6pm, it's totally dead and
some say not entirely safe. Seems alright to me, but I do agree that there is
no reason to come at night unlike the beaches in the Golden Zone which are divine,
romantic and all together safe during the nighttime hours.
