The Acapulco Sands was built in 1967 and is a small 6 floor,
94 room offering close to the beach, but far enough away to avoid a lot the
hustle and bustle of La Costera with its continuously honking taxi cabs. It has
a nice garden restaurant and attractive pool. The rooms all have balconies, air
conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, and a minibar.
The hotel offers
babysitting, laundry & dry cleaning, a gift shop, a track where guests can
jog, and computer access. Though I have not stayed here myself, word around town
is that it's a pretty good value for your money.
