Acapulco's Convention Center is truly beautiful. I get a
change to see it often enough as the Real Acapulco P.O. Box is located there. It
was built back in 1972 and was, then, said to be the most extravagant Convention
Center in all of Mexico. I may still be. It is said to have cost some 50 million
dollars. It is pretty extravagant and certainly beautiful.
(I wonder if
this figure is in 1972 dollars or in today's currency? Hmmm, divide 50 million
by a deflator of .221 for the year 1972 and that's about 225 million 2004
dollars. You'll have to let me know your opinion, does it look like its worth 50
million or 225 million? (I want to be sure not to overbid if the the property
ever goes up for auction.)
