Camino Real is without
a doubt one of Acapulco's best hotels along with the Acapulco Princess. Las
Brisas, and the Pierre Marqués. It's a five star offering for sure. What makes
this hotel truly special is its location in the rustic, tropical, and serene
Puerto Marques.
The hotel was built by American architects Wickenburg and Carrano and
Mexicans Atilio Bazaretti and Arnoldo Ochoa in 1993. The hotel encompasses some
33,000-meters and has the feel of a cascading waterfall and interacts peacefully
with the bay and the nearby Pacific Ocean.
Camino Real features 157 rooms on 5 floors that
have been tastefully decorated and come complete with marble floors. Basic
amenities include full private bathrooms, hairdryesr, vanity mirror,
air-conditioning, ceiling fan, alarm clock radio, satellite TV, telephone with
voicemail, minibar, ironing board and iron, electronic safe deposit box and a
private balcony offering a view of the bay.

The hotel's deluxe amenities include three swimming pools with an ocean view
plus a children's pool, an in-house travel agency, plus a car rental agency. In

convention guests.
The hotel boasts two good restaurants. The Cabo
Diamante serves an international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner while
La Vela restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.
Rates run between $150 per night for one adult in
low season to $250 per night for three adults in high season.
I've
personally spent some time here and I can say that it is nice. The staff is very
friendly. The hotel is cloistered away in an exclusive neighborhood whose
secluded, winding streets add a little extra otherworldliness to the experience.
