| Cici Water Amusement Park |
Cici Waterpark The CICI (which stands for Centro Internacional de Convivencia Infantil) is Acapulco's massive water amusement park. Why I had to grow up in Michigan where there was nothing even remotely resembling the CICI is beyond me because it's a kids paradise. All we had to play in was snow.
Anyway, as far as water parks go, not that I have a lot of experience with them, CICI has it all: dolphin shows, wave pools, water sides, beach club, "the sky coaster", "Kamilancha", "the Tornado", and a big balloon where you can go up 120 meters and get a 360 view of Acapulco. I haven't done it personally but I hear it cane get up there. CICI also has and a heap of other fun stuff.
I would have to say that my favorite conception is the Tornado slide. It's a water slide that culminates by spitting you out into an angled bowl-like place with a hole in the middle through which you fall into a pool of water below. It sort of reminds me of a giant toilet being flushed. Now that's something you don't see everyday!
I hear the Sky Coaster is pretty hip too. Maybe when I have kid's I'll try it, but right now I'm still Bachelorman.
When it comes to the CICI, the calculation is really pretty simple: If you have children and don't take them, they will never, ever, ever forgive you as long as you live because the CICI, for kids, is too much fun.
The CICI is located in Costa Azul and is open from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. every day.
