La Palapa is another
good option located right on Icacos beach. Palapa is the word for the
little thatched-roof beach huts you see around the beaches of Acapulco.
This is a tall 30 floor hotel that was built in 1977. It has 176 rooms
that all have, at least a partial, ocean view that include cable/satellite TV,
telephones, maid service, and and in-room safe. The rooms looking out toward Las
Brsias have a somewhat better view.
The decor in the hotel and the rooms
are fair, but largely lack flair. The hotel features direct beach access, two
restaurants, pool, and a nice special events center.
