| Playa La Angosta Acapulco |
Playa La Angosta
Playa
Angosta, this little beach, and I do mean little (angosta means narrow in
spanish) is an off the beaten track favorite of mine. It's a narrow stretch of
beach sandwiched in between two big cliffs and is the next inlet over from where
the La Quebrada cliff divers perform. It's really the only beach in Acapulco
proper where you can get the full sunset. That is, right up to where the sun
turns into a colorful dot on the oceanscape then disappears. There's not a lot
here, a few ramshackle places to buy food and whatnot. It's also a little hard
to find, but if you walk from La Quebrada toward Acapulco's stunning
amphitheater on the sea Sinfonia del Sol just continue on and you'll run right
into it.
