Built in 1990, Royal Holiday recently purchased Park Royal from the Raddison. The Park Royal has been put in the Grand Tourism class by the Mexican governement, but Real Acapulco rates it at the upper end of our four stars (or if you want we could put it at the bottom of our five stars). It has a nice tropical feel and good facilites though there have been a few grievences with the service since the management changover. Any way you cut it, this hotel doesn't quite compare to its big brothers the Camino Real, Pierre Marques, Princess, Mayan Palace, etc. in terms of luxury. Then again, it's not as expensive either and there is not doubt it is a good hotel if you're an independent self-motivating travler.
It offers 212 rooms on 6 floors with wicker furniture and adorned with art. It's located in Las Brisas, one of Acapulco's most excluive residential areas and is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be a tranquil yet not so far away from the action to feel isolated from it. Amenites include restaurants that serve a variety of cuisine including great mexican food, a cafe, a swimming pool, a gym, Jacuzzis, a sauna and a massage service.
