Barra Vieja & Tres Palos LagoonBarra Vieja, located at the mouth of Tres Palos Lagoon, is another fresh water lagoon replete with mangroves and exotic water fowl. You head out toward Puerto Marques (also a good ecotourism option) and keep straight. It's also gorgeous, lush, and tropical. There are some good options restaurants and lodging out here are well.
