Acapulco Villas

Villas for rent and sale.
The term villa is really a bit misleading. Villa is sometimes associated with small single-level country homes. At other times, and this is certainly the case in Acapulco, the term villa is associated with luxurious houses of the well-to-do, most typically as second homes used for short vacations.
The notion that villas are typical country houses is interesting as no one who visits Acapulco would consider it the countryside. However, since most Acapulco villas are owned by wealthy families from Mexico City and beyond, one can come to understand the evolution of the term.
Acapulco villas range from smallish, single level properties to sprawling
multi-level palatial estates. The term villa in Acapulco is usually
used interchangeably with “casa” and sometimes even “quinta.” They
are nearly always located in highly secure gated-communities with teams
of security guards and usually have living and dining areas open to the
air and ocean or bay views. They also typically have a pool, palapa
bar, and service quarters.
In Acapulco, villas begin to dot the landscape as you leave
the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone) taking the Scenic Highway toward Acapulco’s
newest development, Diamante. Some villas can be found in Joyas de Brisamar,
but the place where most are found is in the various sub-divisions
of the sprawling Las
Brisas area such as Club Residential Las Brisas (which is nestled
high in the mountains near the giant Capilla de la Paz (the huge cross
that rests on top of the green mountaintops in the southeast of the
city), Fraccionamiento Las Brisas, Marina Las Brisas, and Brisas Guitarrón
(which are all on the other side of Scenic Highway toward the shore).
This area is probably best known throughout Acapulco for its stunning
vacation villas.
Many beautiful villas can also be found in the hills of La Cima, Brisas
Marques, Lomas del Marques and Pichilingue (a beautiful area near the Hotel
Camino Real) which look out on the rustic and beautiful Puerto
Marques.
Most Acapulco villas, save one or two, do not have direct beach access but are built in the hills and on the cliffs overlooking the water. In fact, the higher up you go, the more breathtaking the ocean and bay views become.
Despite being one of Acapulco’s most luxurious areas, Diamante doesn’t
have want one would understand to be Acapulco villas. Rather, Acapulco
Diamante boasts numerous luxury condos and apartments right on (or
very near) the beach. Diamante has a decided Miami-esque feel, or perhaps
smething more akin to Los Cabos or Cancun, as it is lined with palms and
new, modernish luxury developments. Unlike the aforementioned
colonias, it is built on flat land with the mountains
in the far distance.
