Norteņo Bars in Acapulco

Truth be told, Real Acapulco is not well enough informed about this style of music to be able to tell just what sort of bars there are. Their U.S. couterparts would be called country bars as they celebrate the rough and rugged rural side of things. A closer relative in Texas might be called tejano. In Acapulco, Mexico they are probably est refered to Norteņo bars would be better as the music they play is in the banda, ranchera, norteņo vien. These couple bars, and there are only two, are more Sonora than Acapulco but they are loads of fun and a good alternative to the polished dance club scene. Don't be shy about weearing your boots and cowboy hats here.

I can't say that I've ever stepped inside this banda/ranchero/norteņeo bar, but this along with New West are the most likely places for the Mexican version of country and western.
