Founded in 1973 and named after one of Mexico's most famed playwrights of the colonial era, the Juan Ruiz de Alarcón Theater is a large and elegant place for musical and theatrical productions, within the International Center of Acapulco. It is the home venue of the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra and the setting for many other concerts and productions throughout the year.
