La Vela

La Vela is in the Camino Real Hotel. It is on a wharf that extends into Puerto Marques bay, and offers romantic, casual, open-air dining by the sea. The floor is of wood, the cover is a large white sail, and the lighting comes from candles. (The name of the restaurant means "The Candle.") The menu offering are mainly seafood dishes, and "cover the waterfront" from shell fish and shrimp, to fish fillets and calamari, each available in different and tasty variations of preparation and presentation. The "talla" of red snapper (grilled over coals in a red chili baste) is a very popular selection.
