Stretched along the Pacific Ocean, about midway between Acapulco's International Airport and the seaside village of Barra Vieja, golf enthusiasts will find the luxurious 18-hole, par 72 golf course at Tres Vidas. From the championship tees it plays 7,209 yards. Five of the holes are along ocean front. The greens are exquisitely kept, and the fairways carpeted with Bermuda grass. This course has hosted several international tournaments. It is a favorite of locals and tourists who come here to play at least once a year. Hole number 12 is a 190-yard par three that heads right towards the ocean, into the sea breeze. It is considered Tres Vidas' signature hole. The 18th is also a "come back" hole. Its long and majestic fairways culminate in a large green, where the waves of the ocean come close to its edge on one side. The Clubhouse overlooks the sea as well and offers a complete pro shop, instruction, and, of course, refreshments.
