Seafood

Acapulco is famous for fresh and delicious seafood, and the choices for restaurants are many. Seafood is known colloquially as “mariscos.” One can find tempting dishes in elegant restaurants or even at a cabana on the beach with dishes prepared according to time-honored, local recipes. If you’re in Acapulco, be sure to have the Ceviche, perhaps the port’s most famous seafood dish, which is fish or shellfish in a marinade of salt, citrus, chili, avocado, tomatoes and cilantro. Ceviche is usually eaten cold, as an appetizer or light meal. Seafood fans will not be disappointed by all their options in Acapulco.
