| Best Hotels in Acapulco, Mexico |
Best Acapulco Hotels & ResortsAcapulco has over 200 hotels and it
can be difficult for visitors to know which hotels really live up to its
billing. I’ve been working away on the hotel reviews section, but for those of
you who don’t have time to pour over 200 listing, well, this is the quick
reference.
It’s widely acknowledge that the best hotels in Acapulco are
not actually found around Acapulco Bay (Bay of Saint Lucia), are by and large
located out in Acapulco
Diamante (which is south of Acapulco down the Scenic Highway past Puerto Marques). I’d call them Acapulco luxury
resorts really. These are best for folks that want a relaxing, tropical
vacation where they can enjoy golf, tennis, beautiful surroundings, and the
beach is a serene setting.
Acapulco Princess Hotel, Pierre Marques, Quinta
Real, Mayan
Palace, and (on Puerto Marques) Camino
Real and of course Las Brisas would
be my top picks in this category.
For those of you who want to be in the
Golden Hotel Zone and a bit closer to things, the Hyatt
Regency, Elcano
Hotel, Fiesta Americana, Continental Emporio are all good choices.
If you
really want to be right in the middle of it and are on a bit of a budget, Romano Palace and Hotel
Tortuga are right across the street from the heat of the action.
If
you’re looking for something a bit different, maybe something a bit quieter with
a touch of history, El
Mirador and Los
Flamingos are great choices. Both are perched on the rocky cliffs with an
intense view of the Pacific Ocean.
If you’re on a budget, but want a
decent hotel, I’d recommend looking over by Playa
Caleta. It’s a distance from the main party area, but definitely has a life
of its own. Try the Grand
Meigas.
If you want rustic nature, there is no better place than Pie de la Cuesta and if you’re staying out in Pie de la
Cuesta, there is no better option than the Parador de Sol.
If you’re really looking for luxury and
want to experience Acapulco the way the rich and famous do, then you probably
won’t want a hotel at all but an exclusive private
vacation rental. Real Acapulco has a number of great options and for those
with unlimited budgets, try Villa Arabesque or Casa Portofino.
