Beach in Acapulco

Acapulco has some of the best beaches in Mexico, perhaps some of the best beaches in the world. From Pie de la Cuesta to Caleta to the Golden Zone and out to Puerto Marques and Diamante, there are dozens of great beaches to choose from and even more distinct personalities.

Some of the beaches are good for swimming, while at some its downright dangerous. Acapulco is not so great for surfing though there a a few sports with some waves, but it is always great for lounging. Some Acapulco beaches offer total freedom while the vendors at others make it a little difficult to relax (though you don't get the super high presure touts on Acapulco's beaches that you do in some other countries).

In this section, Real Acapulco offers our reviews Acapulco's beaches, but feel free to add your own review.

Pie de la Cuesta
Pie de la Cuesta is miles and miles of yellow sand beach. You can literally start walking in the morning and not reach the end until the afternoon. The beach is great and the ocean out here is fierce. The beach r ...

Playa Condesa
Playa Condesa beach. Hey, this is Golden Zone central and the place where hedonism happens and tourists congregate as well as, not so coincidentally, beach vendors and the notorious"chain dudes". La Redonda (a big crag ...

Playa Hamacas
This seriously sandy beach is across fromthe Hotel Las Hamacas and is the neighbor of Tamarindos and Hornos Beaches. It doesn't get asmuch traffic as the others, but maybe that's a good thing.

Playa Angosta, this little beach, and I do mean little (angosta means narrow in spanish) is an off the beaten track favorite of mine. It's a narrow stretch of beach sandwiched in between two big cliffs and is the ...
